KP System
Krishnamurti Paddhati — a precise, sub-lord-based method known for sharp event timing.
The KP system, or Krishnamurti Paddhati, was developed by K. S. Krishnamurti in the twentieth century as a refinement of traditional methods aimed at greater precision. It uses its own ayanamsa and is known for clear, repeatable rules.
Its central innovation is the 'sub-lord': each nakshatra is further subdivided in the proportions of the Vimshottari dasha, so every point in the zodiac has a sign lord, star (nakshatra) lord and sub-lord. The sub-lord of a cusp or significator is decisive in judging a result.
KP also favours the Placidus house system and a 'cuspal' approach, which sets it apart from classical whole-sign practice. Practitioners value it for answering specific, yes-or-no timing questions with consistency.
