Dhana Yoga
A combination indicating wealth, formed by connections among the chart's money houses.
Dhana yogas are wealth-giving combinations. They typically arise when the lords of the wealth-related houses — chiefly the 2nd (accumulated wealth) and 11th (gains), supported by the 5th and 9th (fortune) — connect with one another by conjunction, aspect or exchange.
As with raja yogas, the result depends on the strength of the planets involved and the houses they rule. A dhana yoga formed by weak or afflicted planets, or one whose lords sit in difficult houses, gives far less than the name suggests.
Wealth in a chart is read from the overall pattern of these connections and their timing through the dashas, not from a single combination. A genuine, strong dhana yoga points to financial growth as a real tendency rather than a certainty.
