Raja Yoga
A combination indicating status, success and rising fortune — classically 'royal' yogas.
Raja yogas are combinations that point to status, authority, success and a rise in life — the word raja means 'king'. The classic form is a connection (conjunction, mutual aspect or exchange) between a kendra lord and a trikona lord, joining the chart's most supportive houses.
Many specific raja yogas exist, including Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga (where a cancelled debilitation turns into strength) and Vipareeta Raja Yoga (rising through difficulty involving the dusthana houses). Each has precise conditions.
A raja yoga only delivers in proportion to the strength and dignity of the planets forming it, and its results unfold through the relevant dasha and transits. An honest reading checks whether the yoga is truly formed and well supported before promising 'royal' results.
